Just Be Yourself!

Just Be Yourself!  YouTube Video Link (just in case the video doesn't work! LOL)  That is something I have struggled with my whole life... I wanted to please everyone.  I cared more about what others thought about me than to realize who I really am.  Now that God has brought me through this tremendous weight loss journey, I am able to find out who I really am again.  My YouTube video for today talks about having fun just being yourself, but there is a flip side to that!  You have to know who you are in order to Be Yourself!!!

I have had to pay attention to who I am... Younique has helped me to bring back the desires of my youth as I enjoy experimenting with makeup again... Losing weight has helped me to like different kinds of clothes that I wouldn't have worn at 320 lbs.  All that is wonderful but I am discovering other things about myself.  Some things are not good and need worked on, like the fearful side of me and being insecure.  Some things are wonderful though.  Knowing who I am has produced a boldness in me or rather, it has started producing a boldness in me I didn't have before!  That part is fun!

There is a scary side of displaying who you are, but I am learning to not give a flip what others think when it doesn't pertain to them!!!!!!  If my life shouldn't affect someone directly and they choose to let my life bother them, I am learning not to take what they think to heart.  Now if we have to work together or if we are family, I try to be sensitive to their feelings if my life directly affects theirs.  So there is a balance to having fun being who you are!!!

Today, I encourage you to practice paying attention to who you really are!!!  If you don't know where to start, look up who God is in the Bible...He created you in His own image!!!  So use that as a guide to find the real you!!!  For example: God is Love.  So when you are hateful, that is not the real you.  The real you is created to love.  Sometimes our environment molds us to be someone we are not.  I know I just scratched the surface but I hope you enjoy a journey of discovering the real you and have fun just being yourself...

Love ya,
SoniaRai
